When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Sammy Cegielski sped through Chick-fil-a's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rex Pearson. Chick-fil-a's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malibu Soccer Beach the free kick. After 67 played minutes Chick-fil-a got a freekick which was hit by Tommie Medley. Rex Pearson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sammy Cegielski in the 69th minute of play. After 72 minutes, Don Pruett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chick-fil-a and the Malibu Soccer Beach players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Chick-fil-a was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willis Brandon to maneuver through the defense. In the 84thth minute of the game Felipe Valencia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chick-fil-a's Rex Pearson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Malibu Soccer Beach's Sammy Cegielski was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 86th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joseph Crews during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joseph Crews kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Malibu Soccer Beach's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
