A very good chance. After 3 played minutes Catan got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Broz. Dagoberto Ciscal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Celia AFC booed when Catan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Broz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Celia AFC fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Celia AFC's Pedro Recemill looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 10 minutes, Dagoberto Ciscal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celia AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dagoberto Ciscal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Celia AFC's goalkeeper Montes Yribarren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Josepe Ondategui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hunfredo Tros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Ciscal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celia AFC's Montes Yribarren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Ruiloba in the 31st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dagoberto Ciscal in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hunfredo Tros saved Catan from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Dagoberto Ciscal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celia AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dagoberto Ciscal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hunfredo Tros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Celia AFC's Pedro Recemill got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dagoberto Ciscal to make the kick off. When Rodolfo Ruiloba came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Catan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Ruiloba couldn't finish the play. If Josepe Ondategui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Catan's Rodolfo Ruiloba got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st match minute, Celia AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esiquio Vagrande to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute of the match Nesto Botella sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Montes Yribarren skillfully saved the ball. Josepe Ondategui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodolfo Ruiloba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Montes Yribarren having to interfere. Baudelio Lizano hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Josepe Ondategui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esiquio Vagrande hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Josepe Ondategui's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Montes Yribarren firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 80thth minute of the game Dagoberto Ciscal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catan's Hunfredo Tros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedro Recemill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hunfredo Tros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esiquio Vagrande, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute, Pedro Recemill left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Celia AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Rodolfo Ruiloba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Montes Yribarren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
