The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eduardo Dantas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Almecegas's Oswaldo Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvaldo Schmidt in the 26th minute of play. Eduardo Dantas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anselmo Branco's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute, Anselmo Branco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Dantas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 33rd minute, Basílio Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Anselmo Branco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eduardo Dantas. After 57 minutes, Alex Vander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Almecegas and the S E BRITO players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match was over Almecegas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than S E BRITO throughout the match.
