Rubens Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gernando Messias in the 30th minute of play. In the 39th minute Marcel Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, Jardel Velasco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cruzeiro Sm's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vacas do Norte da Malásia the free kick. In the 40th match minute, Cruzeiro Sm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel Velasco to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raimundo Neto made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Vacas do Norte da Malásia's Marcel Ramos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fábio Barreto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Marcel Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Fábio Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Cléber Zonta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cruzeiro Sm's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vacas do Norte da Malásia the free kick. After 59 played minutes Cruzeiro Sm got a freekick which was hit by Cléber Zonta. Cruzeiro Sm's Fábio Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Ramos in the 61st minute of play. A collision led to Cruzeiro Sm getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Vágner Vale hit a great ball. Rubens Proença made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Gernando Messias sent off a good shot on target. 69 minutes into the match, Marcel Ramos notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Cruzeiro Sm's Fábio Barreto. Fábio Barreto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gernando Messias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Rubens Proença made a huge save. A collision led to Vacas do Norte da Malásia getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Benjamim Mineiro hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Décio de Amorim in the 83rd minute of play forced Cruzeiro Sm's goalkeeper Fábio Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fábio Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute Raimundo Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 played minutes Vacas do Norte da Malásia got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Ramos. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vacas do Norte da Malásia had won after a very even match.
