Dida Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Faustino in the 3rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Lucas Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibirama FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Peixoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Machado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12thth minute of the game Téo Faustino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibirama FC's Dida Simão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Ibirama FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. José Cearense hit a great ball. Diogo Moreno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgar Machado having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Peixoto in the 24th minute of play forced Triunio's goalkeeper Edgar Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Almir Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 33 minutes, Lucas Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibirama FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Peixoto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diogo Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Edgar Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lucas Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 41 minutes of play, Ibirama FC's Lucas Peixoto made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgar Machado was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Téo Faustino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Triunio players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ibirama FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diogo Moreno to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Anderson Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diogo Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Edgar Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Almir Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dida Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Faustino in the 57th minute of the match. With a little luck, Triunio's Edgar Machado got control of the ball when Lucas Peixoto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lucas Peixoto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Edgar Machado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 61st minute, Kléber Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute of the match, Diogo Moreno tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edgar Machado saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 69th minute Jacinto Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jacinto Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tadeu Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Machado having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Diogo Moreno fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Edgar Machado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diogo Moreno's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd match minute, Triunio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. Lucas Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Machado having to interfere. Lucas Peixoto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edgar Machado firmly grabbed it by the left post. 89 minutes into the game, Diogo Moreno recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edgar Machado. Diogo Moreno showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. If Lucas Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ibirama FC played a much better game than Triunio and deserved their victory. The Triunio players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
