With a little luck, Cacarongonga's Severino Vinhas got control of the ball when Humberto Linhares tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zé Augusto Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Vinhas having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augusto de Sousa to strike the kick off in the second half. Humberto Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Zé Augusto Goiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cacarongonga's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Severino Vinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Augusto Goiano in the 88th minute of play. Nelson de Mendonça scored 3-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gugu Linares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luiz Eduardo Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Zé Augusto Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Severino Vinhas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Engenhoca's supporters were highly satisfied with the result.
