When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Felipe Meireles sped through Bahiacelona FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gil Munhoz. After a rather tough play, G.E.Metropolitano - RS's Cesinha Abraão got a free kick in the 12th minute. Zé Paulo Peres charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Paulo Peres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 19 minutes into the match, Bahiacelona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Meireles came free, but Gil Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bahiacelona FC's Gil Munhoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Meireles in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Meireles in the 27th minute of play forced Bahiacelona FC's goalkeeper Gil Munhoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Bahiacelona FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cesinha Abraão fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Felipe Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Bahiacelona FC's Gil Munhoz got control of the ball when Hamílton Paraíba tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gil Munhoz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hamílton Paraíba in the 35th minute. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Cesinha Abraão took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Gil Munhoz to make any attempt to save it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hamílton Paraíba made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Hamílton Paraíba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gil Munhoz. Bahiacelona FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hamílton Paraíba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. A collision led to Bahiacelona FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Zé Paulo Peres hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Felipe Meireles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The G.E.Metropolitano - RS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Gil Munhoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamílton Paraíba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hamílton Paraíba came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the G.E.Metropolitano - RS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamílton Paraíba couldn't finish the play. Magno de Castro hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. When G.E.Metropolitano - RS's Felipe Meireles in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of G.E.Metropolitano - RS booed when Bahiacelona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, 朱桑枫 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Bahiacelona FC's zone, Hamílton Paraíba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Munhoz came out of the goal and Hamílton Paraíba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the G.E.Metropolitano - RS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
