With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gugu Rosa in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doni Munhoz saved Sariema from getting behind. Valdemar Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doni Velasco having to interfere. José Maria Alves scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Doni Velasco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gugu Rosa charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gugu Rosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sariema booed when White Rhinoceros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimir Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doni Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Maria Alves in the 24th minute of play. After some careless play in the White Rhinoceros defense, Valdemar Oliveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Doni Velasco. The White Rhinoceros fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Doni Velasco should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of White Rhinoceros:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sariema:s goal. In the 31st minute there was a penalty for Sariema. Samuel Lima stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Doni Velasco. 0-4. José Maria Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdemar Oliveira made a kick off. If Valdemar Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. Sariema's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeu Mattos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doni Velasco made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Maria Alves in the 94th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdemar Oliveira in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Doni Velasco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Maria Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute.
