Kléberson Lopez was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. The supporters of desportivo américa booed when Mororo AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celsinho Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. desportivo américa's Rui Vasconcelos got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matheus Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristóvão Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristóvão Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th minute, one of desportivo américa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for desportivo américa. desportivo américa:s Pedrinho Rodrigues showed great skill when he stopped Ronaldo Valadares:s penalty. 30 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Valadares notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of desportivo américa's Pedrinho Rodrigues. Pedrinho Rodrigues was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 33 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Valadares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mororo AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave desportivo américa the free kick. In the 33rd minute, Ronaldo Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ademir Pimenta might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedrinho Rodrigues. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ademir Pimenta ran back to his position shaking his head. After 36 minutes of play, Mororo AD's Joélson Gerber made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedrinho Rodrigues was left in no man's land by his defense there! Matheus Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kléberson Lopez having to make a save. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joélson Gerber to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Vasconcelos in the 52nd minute of play forced Mororo AD's goalkeeper Kléberson Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Vasconcelos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Vasconcelos in the 57th minute of play forced Mororo AD's goalkeeper Kléberson Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mororo AD getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Celsinho Donato hit a great ball. Mororo AD's Joélson Gerber got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Mororo AD:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of desportivo américa:s goal. In the 78th minute there was a penalty for desportivo américa. Cristóvão Ramos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kléberson Lopez. 2-2. Matheus Barreto took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kléberson Lopez. Kléberson Lopez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Alfredinho Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The desportivo américa fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mororo AD had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
