Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Renato Figueiredo got the match started through his kick off. Tarcisio Pitta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléber Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renato Figueiredo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 11th playminute. Alfredão Marques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Faustão Domingues made a huge save. Orlando Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tarcisio Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ipiranga Petroleo's zone, Renato Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustão Domingues came out of the goal and Renato Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Ipiranga Petroleo's Faustão Domingues got control of the ball when Renato Figueiredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Renato Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Renato Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orlando Marques made a kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Arapira's Renato Figueiredo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Faustão Domingues was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 59th minute, Gilberto Saraiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Faustão Domingues was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 64 minutes into the match, Ipiranga Petroleo's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Figueiredo came free, but Faustão Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute of the match Dumitru Ştercă shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Faustão Domingues showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Faustão Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Tavares in the 71st minute of play. Noel Tavares took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Faustão Domingues. Faustão Domingues dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 77th minute, Arapira's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Orlando Marques fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 80 minutes into the game, Cafu Ortiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ipiranga Petroleo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arapira the free kick. In the 80th match minute, Ipiranga Petroleo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cafu Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. If Renato Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Arapira booed when Ipiranga Petroleo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yan Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute of the match Genílson Leme shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Faustão Domingues showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Faustão Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Saraiva in the 89th minute of play. Dé Magalhães's late challenge caught a Arapira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dé Magalhães helped the player get up and apologised. Dé Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Renato Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arapira's supporters rose to their feet, but Renato Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faustão Domingues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute Gilberto Saraiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustão Domingues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ipiranga Petroleo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
