Reynaldo Freire charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Durvalino Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Hílton Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th match minute, Piassava was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Piassava getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Abel Ribeiro hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Piassava's Tiaguinho Sarmento got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 15 minutes, Dedé Cardozo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Piassava and the Pechincha EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Piassava's Dedé Cardozo got a free kick in the 15th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Davi da Silva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hílton Carvalho. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Campidelis in the 21st minute of play forced Piassava's goalkeeper Hílton Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 22 minutes on the clock, Tiaguinho Sarmento commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 21 minutes into the game, one of Piassava:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Hílton Carvalho, was totally fooled by Pechincha EC's Márcio Ribeiro, who 23 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a defensive mix-up in Pechincha EC's zone, Abel Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cacá Esteves came out of the goal and Abel Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hílton Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durvalino Melo in the 28th minute of play. Hílton Carvalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davi da Silva in the 29th minute. Hílton Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durvalino Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes, Luizão Brodel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Piassava and the Pechincha EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luizão Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Piassava's zone, Davi da Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton Carvalho came out of the goal and Davi da Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The wind increased when Luizão Brodel made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Piassava's Abel Ribeiro got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Luizão Brodel came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Piassava fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luizão Brodel couldn't finish the play. Hílton Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davi da Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hílton Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davi da Silva in the 62nd minute of the match. Jeremias Campidelis took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hílton Carvalho. Hílton Carvalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 69 minutes into the game, Luizão Brodel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cacá Esteves. Luizão Brodel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Luizão Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hílton Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davi da Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Piassava's José Pedro Massa got a free kick in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davi da Silva in the 85th minute of play forced Piassava's goalkeeper Hílton Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 88 minutes of play, Pechincha EC's Davi da Silva made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hílton Carvalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hílton Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davi da Silva in the 91st minute of the match. After 95 minutes, Jeremias Campidelis made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Piassava's Hílton Carvalho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. There was no doubt that Pechincha EC were the better team. Pechincha EC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
