After 15 played minutes real madrid got a freekick which was hit by Romeu Gaspar. After a defensive mix-up in Mamede FC's zone, Ismael Esteves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Pombal came out of the goal and Ismael Esteves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reinaldo da Cunha in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jardel Batista saved real madrid from getting behind. Reinaldo da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Batista having to interfere. After a rather tough play, real madrid's Romeu Gaspar got a free kick in the 24th minute. When Andrézinho Goiano came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Mamede FC fans jumped to their feet. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ismael Esteves to strike the kick off in the second half. Ismael Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65thth minute of the game Ismael Esteves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mamede FC's Eriberto Pombal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Benê Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. real madrid's supporters rose to their feet, but Benê Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eriberto Pombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ismael Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the match, real madrid's Acácio Diniz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eriberto Pombal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 72 minutes, Dito Godoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the real madrid and the Mamede FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Mamede FC booed when real madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Acácio Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. A long shot from Célio Botelho in the 81st minute of play was well struck, but Jardel Batista made a really good save at the right post. real madrid's Jardel Batista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save real madrid from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Mamede FC's Augusto Rosado got a free kick in the 95th minute. The real madrid manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Mamede FC to win.
