The crowd rose to their feet as Jaime Leão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Remo Gonçalves. That made the score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. Deposito AD's Luizão Sá got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Deposito AD's Luizão Sá got a free kick in the 40th minute. Jaime Leão might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remo Gonçalves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaime Leão ran back to his position shaking his head. Mazinho Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ronaldão Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo Gonçalves having to interfere. Jaime Leão struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Remo Gonçalves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esse. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Leão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandrinho Dionísio during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Remo Gonçalves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esse. 4-0 became the score in the 67th minute when Jaime Leão elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Jaime Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldão Soares in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remo Gonçalves saved Deposito AD from getting behind. If Ronaldão Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Sandrinho Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Leão took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remo Gonçalves. Remo Gonçalves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Esse walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
