Spectators: 7222 (Terracing: 5418, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) MERCOPLASA F.C's Nelson da Mata started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Afonso Lopes took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adrianinho Vieira. Adrianinho Vieira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, Gernando Marinho notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Castelandia's Adrianinho Vieira. Adrianinho Vieira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th minute, David Mello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adrianinho Vieira was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Dário Mendes hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Bernardo Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edson de Souza in the 41st minute of the match. Adrianinho Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Nelson da Mata kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adrianinho Vieira. That made the score 4-0 in the 47 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edson de Souza to strike the kick off in the second half. Gernando Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrianinho Vieira having to interfere. Adrianinho Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 minutes of play, MERCOPLASA F.C's Nelson da Mata made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adrianinho Vieira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gernando Marinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in MERCOPLASA F.C's zone, Cléber Paes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Linares came out of the goal and Cléber Paes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Mello during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adrianinho Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. MERCOPLASA F.C's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
