If Jailson de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that David Britto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacinto Mendes was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. 26 minutes into the match, Resplendor's goal looked a bit too open when Jailson de Sena came free, but Jacinto Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th match minute, Mucurepe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jailson de Sena to maneuver through the defense. Benê Salgado's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bruno Secco firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jailson de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jacinto Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Resplendor got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luiz da Costa. Wilton Linares took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacinto Mendes. Resplendor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jacinto Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jailson de Sena in the 47th minute of the match.

54 minutes into the match, Cacá Pereira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jacinto Mendes, 1-2. Cacá Pereira hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, David Britto notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Resplendor's Jacinto Mendes. Jacinto Mendes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jailson de Senas short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Jacinto Mendes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 65 minutes into the match, Resplendor's goal looked a bit too open when David Britto came free, but Jacinto Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Britto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacinto Mendes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. David Britto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacinto Mendes having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Britto in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacinto Mendes saved Resplendor from getting behind. The attack was good, but when David Britto in the 80th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Jailson de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Mendes having to interfere. David Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mucurepe FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
