Jorge Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jorge Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Tronqueira's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Couto came free, but Magno Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jorge Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Tronqueira's zone, Guto Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magno Teles came out of the goal and Guto Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. Rubens Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Maciel in the 35th minute of the match. If Gildo Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Tronqueira's goalkeeper Magno Teles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guto Medeiros. Manuel Falcão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rubens Veloso having to make a save. Rubens Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Falcão in the 43rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Maciel in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rubens Veloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The wind increased when Manuel Falcão made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Abel Couto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guto Medeiros charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guto Medeiros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th minute, Guto Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magno Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Couto in the 61st minute of play. Magno Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After 79 played minutes pirata fc got a freekick which was hit by Kiko Branco. If Abel Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. Sydney Chaves, 91 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The Tronqueira supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tronqueira would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
