But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juninho da Silva couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Juninho da Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgard Ribeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Edgard Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho da Silva in the 22nd minute of the match. Juninho da Silva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgard Ribeiro having to make a save. In the 26th minute, Teodoro Rossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgard Ribeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raimundo Catarinense went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Juninho da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Edgard Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juninho da Silva in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgard Ribeiro saved Tingua from getting behind. Edgard Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisinho Linares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reynaldo Coutinho scored 0-4 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgard Ribeiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The wind increased when Juninho da Silva made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 70 minutes, Luisinho Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GSA 04 FBMZ-FCCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisinho Linares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zachary Przybylo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulisses Botelho in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, GSA 04 FBMZ-FCCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Alan de Sena came free, but Zachary Przybylo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juninho da Silva might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgard Ribeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juninho da Silva ran back to his position shaking his head. Hélio Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, GSA 04 FBMZ-FCCMZ's Juninho da Silva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgard Ribeiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Tingua getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Matheus de Castro hit a great ball. A hard shot 90 in the game by Juninho da Silva from a close distance when the talented Edgard Ribeiro managed to make a qualified save. Tingua's players were relieved. If Juninho da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GSA 04 FBMZ-FCCMZ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
