With a little luck, Ibiracu's César Gaúcho got control of the ball when Tony Vergílio tried to sneak it across the goal line. 5 minutes into the game, Cido Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ibiracu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campinense FC the free kick. After 5 played minutes Ibiracu got a freekick which was hit by Cido Cruz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matías Bueno in the 6th minute of play forced Ibiracu's goalkeeper César Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matías Bueno took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised César Gaúcho. César Gaúcho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Campinense FC's Alexandre Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Fernandes in the 13th minute of play. Tony Vergílio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but César Gaúcho made a huge save. After 24 played minutes Ibiracu got a freekick which was hit by Cido Cruz. After 25 played minutes Ibiracu got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho de Mendonça. Alexandre Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerson Velloso in the 29th minute of the match. Osvaldinho Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arí Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Martins having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldinho Fernandes in the 35th minute of play forced Campinense FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matías Bueno might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over César Gaúcho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matías Bueno ran back to his position shaking his head. When Campinense FC's Matías Bueno in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Campinense FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tony Vergílio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. César Gaúcho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. César Gaúcho didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Campinense FC's Matías Bueno shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hélio de Senna during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st match minute, Campinense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélio de Senna to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arí Simão in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Martins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcos de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Campinense FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
