Marcelinho Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Alexandre Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juninho Hoffmann was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Juninho Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morete EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juninho Hoffmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Iraty Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho Hoffmann came free, but Ivo Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Marcelinho Travassos notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Morete EC's Alexandre Damião. Alexandre Damião was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 65th minute Juninho Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudinei Fontes during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Morete EC booed when Iraty Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Morete EC's Agnaldo Britto got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcelinho Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute Juninho Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Fernandinho Fernandez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivo Pires was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After having played for 90 minutes, Dida Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morete EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dida Fantini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 91 played minutes Iraty Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Fontes. After having played for 92 minutes, Dida Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morete EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dida Fantini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Morete EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
