Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Glauco Leal got the match started through his kick off. The Itupiranga fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Itupiranga's Emanuel Toscano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Palmeiras's Tadeu Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Pernambucano in the 15th minute of the match. Glauco Leal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvaldinho Neto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Giovanni Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldinho Neto having to interfere. The supporters of Itupiranga booed when Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeu Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Paranaense made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Tadeu Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. If Glauco Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Glauco Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 45 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Arí Sergipano.

In the 55thth minute of the game Luciano Pernambucano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itupiranga's Cristian Paranaense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luciano Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd match minute, Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustão Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Jeremias de Lara in the 63rd minute really tested Osvaldinho Neto's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Glauco Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's Luciano Pernambucano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristian Paranaense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 70 minutes, Tadeu Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmeiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeu Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Glauco Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itupiranga's supporters rose to their feet, but Glauco Leal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldinho Neto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th minute, Leopoldo Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcel de Queiroz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 78th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Itupiranga's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeu Alcântara came free, but Cristian Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeu Alcântara in the 83rd minute of the match. Cristian Paranaense came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Palmeiras's Luciano Pernambucano. But to his dismay, Luciano Pernambucano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.
