José Maria Loyola didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 played minutes democrata got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Furtado. The audience was convinced that Adriano Loureiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lúcio Vieira was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edu Arce made a kick off. Pedro Paulo Pinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lúcio Vieira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Lúcio Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Paulo Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. democrata fully deserved thier win.
