Lúcio Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. If Edu Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Clube Atlético-MS's Lúcio Vieira got control of the ball when Elias Souto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gualter Souto hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Wilson Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Vieira having to interfere. Elias Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Edu Arce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lúcio Vieira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Souto in the 40th minute. Marcinho Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Nicolas Mumbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edu Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Mumbach having to interfere. Nicolas Mumbach came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Atlético-MS's Edu Arce. But to his dismay, Edu Arce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilson Ramalho was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th match minute, Poder Rosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doni de Castro to maneuver through the defense. Elias Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Vieira having to interfere. If Wilson Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Poder Rosa booed when Clube Atlético-MS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Poder Rosa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Souto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Wilson Ramalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lúcio Vieira was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Elias Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Vieira having to interfere. Lúcio Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Souto in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lúcio Vieira saved Clube Atlético-MS from getting behind. Edu Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Válter Pirani's late challenge caught a Clube Atlético-MS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Válter Pirani helped the player get up and apologised. Válter Pirani hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Poder Rosa! Edu Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Mumbach having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Edu Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Atlético-MS's supporters rose to their feet, but Edu Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Mumbach breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Souto in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lúcio Vieira saved Clube Atlético-MS from getting behind. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Clube Atlético-MS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
