With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Teles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Brasil Eterno MZC defense, Silvério Gaúcho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Teles. The Brasil Eterno MZC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Teles should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Tapaiuna's zone, Joaquim Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão de Senna came out of the goal and Joaquim Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Joaquim Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brasil Eterno MZC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simão de Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Simão de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Dagoberto Guedess short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Simão de Senna to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Brasil Eterno MZC's Joaquim Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simão de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Sousa in the 34th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Dagoberto Guedes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simão de Senna. Tapaiuna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dagoberto Guedes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Silvério Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elói Carioca was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elói Carioca in the 52nd minute of play forced Brasil Eterno MZC's goalkeeper David Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tapaiuna's Elói Carioca got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquim Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão de Senna having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Renatinho de Godoy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tapaiuna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brasil Eterno MZC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Tapaiuna's Renatinho de Godoy got a free kick in the 59th minute. Brasil Eterno MZC's Dagoberto Guedes got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Tapaiuna booed when Brasil Eterno MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 93rd minute, one of Brasil Eterno MZC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Brasil Eterno MZC. Brasil Eterno MZC:s David Teles showed great skill when he stopped Ismael Marinho:s penalty. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
