Raphael Peres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Os Assombrados's Dagoberto Toledo in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Naldo de Barros hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute Yuri de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandro Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dagoberto Toledo was the one to do the kick off. Adalberto Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Anselmo Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Naldo de Barros fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luzio FC's protests and gave Naldo de Barros a yellow card for diving instead. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Luzio FC! In the 61st minute, the referee gave Os Assombrados a penalty. Leonel Donato looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Anselmo Alves. Dagoberto Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Anselmo Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Luzio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Proença came free, but Anselmo Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Os Assombrados fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when Os Assombrados's Dagoberto Toledo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 71 minutes of play, Luzio FC's Yuri de Castro made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raphael Peres was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Os Assombrados's Adalberto Berger in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, Luzio FC's Ricardo Arósio got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Adalberto Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Alves having to interfere. Anselmo Alves made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Dagoberto Toledo sent off a good shot on target. If Adalberto Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 99th minute of the match Naldo de Barros completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Naldo de Barros a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 98 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Luzio FC! Os Assombrados's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
