After 3 played minutes mOss FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Marques. In the 6th minute there was a penalty for Inter Florida E.C. Carlos Eduardo Paes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eusébio Gerber. 0-1. Eusébio Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Netto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, César Veiga made a precise shot to the right of Maurício Moura. Inter Florida E.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Cléber Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Eusébio Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, mOss FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fabiano Breckenfeld came free, but Eusébio Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber Madureira in the 25th minute of play forced mOss FC's goalkeeper Eusébio Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernani Vinhas got free with Maurício Moura in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute of the match, Ernani Vinhas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Maurício Moura was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If César Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Ernani Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Inter Florida E.C's zone, Ernani Vinhas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurício Moura came out of the goal and Ernani Vinhas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute, mOss FC's Freddie Lindholm dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aníbal Netto to make the kick off. Erivaldo Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Maurício Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernani Vinhas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ernani Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddie Lindholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Moura having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Inter Florida E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Ernani Vinhas came free, but Maurício Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute César Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurício Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of mOss FC booed when Inter Florida E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesinha Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, mOss FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cléber Madureira came free, but Eusébio Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. mOss FC's César Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ernani Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inter Florida E.C's Maurício Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddie Lindholm in the 79th minute of play. After some careless play in the Inter Florida E.C defense, Ernani Vinhas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maurício Moura. The Inter Florida E.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maurício Moura should have stopped the shot. In the 85th minute, Vítor Rosado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maurício Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddie Lindholm in the 97th minute of the match.
