Jean de Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo Meirelles in the 19th minute of the match. Jean de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélio de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the game, Guarakessaba's Antônio Carlos Penha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jean de Castro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Jean de Castro came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Guarakessaba's Geovani dos Santos. But to his dismay, Geovani dos Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Pakhom Zhukovskys short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Bernardo da Cunha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 32nd minute, Hélio de Souza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jean de Castro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. The referee felt a red card was in order, 40 minutes into the game, when Elder Peixoto put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Guarakessaba booed when Votoraty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elder Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Antônio Carlos Penha sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Votoraty's Jean de Castro didn't even have to move. Jean de Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Mota in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pakhom Zhukovsky to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Guarakessaba's Hélio de Souza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jean de Castro. That made the score 0-6 after 51 minutes of play. Pakhom Zhukovsky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Bernardo da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jean de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geovani dos Santos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jean de Castro came out and tried to block the shot, but Geovani dos Santos slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 71st minute. Votoraty's Jean de Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Votoraty from getting a goal against them. Pakhom Zhukovsky sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Nolan Kuypers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute Ernesto Larizza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pakhom Zhukovsky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Antônio Carlos Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Jean de Castro made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Antônio Carlos Penha could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Jean de Castro however easily saved by the left post. Samuel Mota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Jean de Castro made a huge save. When the match was over Guarakessaba could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Votoraty throughout the match.
