A very good chance. After 6 played minutes Taubate FC got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Meirelles. Piria FC's Kurt Cobain got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ademir da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Víktor Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Kurt Cobain fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Clemente Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredinho Simões in the 14th minute of the match. The supporters of Piria FC booed when Taubate FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredinho Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ademir da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Víktor Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kurt Cobain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute, Frédson Lago fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Víktor Capixaba, passed just outside the right post. If Kurt Cobain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taubate FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Ronaldinho Freitas scored to the left of an out of position Víktor Capixaba, making the score, 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Kurt Cobain got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kurt Cobain in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Víktor Capixaba saved Taubate FC from getting behind. If Ronaldinho Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurt Cobain's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Víktor Capixaba skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Víktor Capixaba was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Kurt Cobain capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kurt Cobain really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gustavo Carioca made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Ademir da Mata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piria FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ademir da Mata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Víktor Capixaba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Piria FC's Kurt Cobain got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Taubate FC's Evandro Meirelles got a free kick in the 60th minute. Taubate FC's Víktor Capixaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Cobain in the 61st minute of play. If Kurt Cobain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piria FC's Kurt Cobain got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Kurt Cobain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piria FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldinho Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Taubate FC's goalkeeper Víktor Capixaba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ademir da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Víktor Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 85 minutes of play, Piria FC's Ademir da Mata made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Víktor Capixaba was left in no man's land by his defense there! Taubate FC's Víktor Capixaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Cobain in the 88th minute of play. Víktor Capixaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademir da Mata in the 91st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Frédson Lago put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Víktor Capixaba. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Piria FC fully deserved thier win.
