Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sampaio correia's Francisco Lira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zé Augusto Quirino was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. Gilvan Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natanael Matos in the 5th minute of play. Patrick Forsberg took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilvan Andrade. Gilvan Andrade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 9th minute, Patrick Forsberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Sampaio correia getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Samuca Loyola hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Ramalho in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caio Mendonça saved Sampaio correia from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vitinho Dias in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caio Mendonça prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gilvan Andrade came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Sampaio correia's Patrick Forsberg. But to his dismay, Patrick Forsberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 25 minutes into the game, Paulo Ramalho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Caio Mendonça. Paulo Ramalho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. 28 minutes into the match, Igarape FC's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Lira came free, but Gilvan Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute Paulo Ramalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Ramalho in the 31st minute of play forced Sampaio correia's goalkeeper Caio Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Lira in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilvan Andrade saved Igarape FC from getting behind. 35 minutes into the match, Francisco Lira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilvan Andrade. Igarape FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Lira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 39thth minute of the game Francisco Lira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Igarape FC's Gilvan Andrade was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Ramalho was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Igarape FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laércio Cabral to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the game, Paulo Ramalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Igarape FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sampaio correia the free kick. After 58 played minutes Igarape FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Ramalho. Gilvan Andrade made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Patrick Forsberg sent off a good shot on target. Paulo Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caio Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Diogo Miranda's late challenge caught a Sampaio correia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diogo Miranda helped the player get up and apologised. After 71 played minutes Igarape FC got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Miranda. In the 79th minute of the match, Patrick Forsberg got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gilvan Andrade was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 80th minute, Caco Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute of the match Natanael Matos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilvan Andrade showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Igarape FC's Gilvan Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Lira in the 82nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Igarape FC defense, Patrick Forsberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilvan Andrade. The Igarape FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilvan Andrade should have stopped the shot. In the 92nd minute, Patrick Forsberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sampaio correia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. The Igarape FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sampaio correia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
