Matheus Zanette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo de Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga Antunes in the 8th minute of play forced PAIA FC's goalkeeper Matheus Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Egídio Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 12th minute, Guga Antunes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Diamantino fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 19 minutes into the game, Diamantino's Tadeu Batista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matheus Zanette made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Diamantino's zone, Marcos Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Medeiros came out of the goal and Marcos Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Egídio Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Medeiros having to interfere. A collision led to PAIA FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ronaldão Lucas hit a great ball. Benjamim Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Matheus Zanette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, PAIA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guga Antunes came free, but Matheus Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danilo Mumbach lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 43rd match minute, Diamantino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo de Mendonça to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Egídio Mendes was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga Antunes in the 52nd minute of play forced PAIA FC's goalkeeper Matheus Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matheus Zanette made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Tadeu Batista sent off a good shot on target. Matheus Zanette made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diogo de Mendonça in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Diamantino's goal looked a bit too open when Egídio Mendes came free, but João Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matheus Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guga Antunes in the 63rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Egídio Mendes in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Medeiros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Egídio Mendes took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Medeiros. João Medeiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 73 minutes into the match, Marcos Mendonça notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Diamantino's João Medeiros. João Medeiros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Guga Antunes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Matheus Zanette came out and tried to block the shot, but Guga Antunes slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 76th minute. The supporters of Diamantino booed when PAIA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matheus Zanette made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamim Aguiar in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga Antunes in the 90th minute of play forced PAIA FC's goalkeeper Matheus Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Diamantino's goalkeeper João Medeiros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Diamantino supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Diamantino would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
