Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laércio Rosado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Evaristo Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vânderson Mangueira in the 14th minute of play forced Estrada Real's goalkeeper Laércio Rosado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 minutes, Wilian Aparecido mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estrada Real and the Paratudal SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th minute, one of Estrada Real:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Estrada Real. Estrada Real's Laércio Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vânderson Mangueira in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Tróia in the 30th minute of play forced Paratudal SS's goalkeeper Luís Fábio Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Estrada Real booed when Paratudal SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laércio Rosado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Corrêa in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 played minutes Estrada Real got a freekick which was hit by Severino Oliveira. Paratudal SS's Aníbal Corrêa got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vânderson Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aníbal Corrêa scored 0-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Laércio Rosado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 45 played minutes Estrada Real got a freekick which was hit by Jeferson Alvarenga. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrick Quadros during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Delfim Tróia to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Estrada Real was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute, Aníbal Corrêa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Aníbal Corrêa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laércio Rosado was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Dito Diniz charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Aníbal Corrêa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. Paratudal SS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vânderson Mangueira got free with Laércio Rosado in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aníbal Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paratudal SS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
