When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mário Figueiredo made a kick off. Mário Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diaurum's Dorian Linares got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diaurum's Bruninho Damião proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Diaurum from getting a goal against them. Emílio Souza might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruninho Damião. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emílio Souza ran back to his position shaking his head. Benedito Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match.
