Hélder Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Cafu Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Túlio Zonta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 68 minutes São Paulo Luz's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gaylord Fucks who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Gaylord Fucks got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cafu Linhares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 71 minutes, Túlio Zonta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barra EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Túlio Zonta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Barra EC's goalkeeper Claudinho Gomes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Guilherme Cordeiro. Luís Guilherme Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Barra EC's goalkeeper Claudinho Gomes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juvenal Pitta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cafu Linhares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. If Hélder Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
