Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Manfredo Rossi kicked off to start the match. Guga Pitta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Augusto Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Bruninho Pontes scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guga Pitta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 12 minutes, Raimundo Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pires do Rio Sport Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Bastos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Raimundo Bastos scored 0-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guga Pitta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Carios's Betinho Diniz got a free kick in the 27th minute. A collision led to Pires do Rio Sport Club getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Erik Moreira hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfredo Rossi in the 38th minute of play forced Pires do Rio Sport Club's goalkeeper Rafinha de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Augusto Couto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bruninho Pontes was the one to do the kick off. Bruninho Pontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Guga Pitta made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Pires do Rio Sport Club's Pedro Augusto Couto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guga Pitta. That made the score 1-3 after 55 minutes of play. Bruninho Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Guga Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guga Pitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Bastos in the 69th minute of the match. Manfredo Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Rafinha de Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Raimundo Bastos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Guga Pitta, 1-4. Raimundo Bastos might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guga Pitta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Bastos ran back to his position shaking his head. If Pedro Augusto Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugênio Nóbrega in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guga Pitta, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Guga Pitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugênio Nóbrega in the 91st minute of the match. Carios's Guga Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Bastos in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Pires do Rio Sport Club left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Carios.
