Paulo Travassos was extremely unlucky when he, in the 2nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, Solidao SS's Roberto de Sena got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute, Solidao SS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Germano Quadros fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Edinho Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. The audience cheered when Augusto Alagoano's long shot passed Cássio Sousa's right side. It was 1-0, 8 minutes into the match. After having played for 15 minutes, Carlos Augusto dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Solidao SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Augusto dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Solidao SS's goalkeeper Cássio Sousa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Germano Quadros. 19 minutes into the match, Carua's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Augusto dos Santos came free, but Waldemar Breckenfeld reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Carlos Augusto dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Solidao SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Augusto dos Santos couldn't finish the play. Germano Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldemar Breckenfeld having to interfere. Paulo Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Cássio Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carua's Germano Quadros got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Solidao SS's Cássio Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germano Quadros in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Travassos to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 64th minute, Paulo Travassos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Paulo Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henrique Albuquerque hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Cássio Sousa came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Carua's Paulo Travassos. But to his dismay, Paulo Travassos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Waldemar Breckenfeld successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Henrique Albuquerque fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carua's protests and gave Henrique Albuquerque a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute, Henrique Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germano Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Carua had won after a very even match.
