The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nando Brodel during the 3rd minute. Claudinei Neto came out of the goal and Patryk Pryla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Patryk Pryla came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Nois Travamos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patryk Pryla couldn't finish the play. Nois Travamos FC's Ricardo Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Carlos Magalhães in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nois Travamos FC's Aloísio Barral got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Ricardo Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Carlos Magalhães in the 29th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Nois Travamos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Magalhães came free, but Ricardo Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antônio Carlos Magalhães's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Lopes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Sucuriju's Antônio Carlos Magalhães sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Lopes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Antônio Carlos Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
