Ernani Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Vianna in the 12th minute of play. Babylonia SS's Humberto Vianna got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Delfim de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ernani Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delfim de Queiroz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Ernani Paraibano made a huge save. Ernani Paraibano didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 25th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. After 27 played minutes Babylonia SS got a freekick which was hit by Mané Meira. The audience was convinced that Olavo Loyola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernani Linhares was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim de Queiroz in the 56th minute of play forced Muirapinima EC's goalkeeper Ernani Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernani Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Vianna in the 57th minute of play. If Delfim de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Babylonia SS's Humberto Vianna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ernani Paraibano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ernani Paraibano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazinho Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Olavo Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ernani Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernani Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilson Salgado in the 73rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nilson Salgado in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernani Linhares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 76th match minute, Muirapinima EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válbson Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Nilson Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muirapinima EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilson Salgado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernani Linhares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernani Linhares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olavo Loyola in the 94th minute. Delfim de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Babylonia SS supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Muirapinima EC's performance. The match ended with a win for Muirapinima EC.
