Luiz Eduardo Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolas Sampaio during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Pilares booed when Pacova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Pacova's Bernardo Valadares dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When Pacova's Bernardo Valadares in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pilares's goalie prevented a goal. Miguel Arantes came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luiz Eduardo Cardozo could save by the left post. Luiz Eduardo Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Pilares's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Valadares came free, but Luiz Eduardo Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute Geovani Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Salgado came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Pilares's Elivélton Dracena. But to his dismay, Elivélton Dracena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Pilares getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Eliseu Porto hit a great ball. 2-1 became the score in the 36th minute when Miguel Arantes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Pacova's Miguel Arantes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Eduardo Cardozo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 49th match minute, Pilares was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseu Porto to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Miguel Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pacova's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Arantes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Eduardo Cardozo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardo Valadares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Bernardo Valadares notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Pilares's Luiz Eduardo Cardozo. Luiz Eduardo Cardozo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Elivélton Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pilares's Luiz Eduardo Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Valadares in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Bernardo Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geovani Correia struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Júlio Salgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pilares. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Bernardo Valadares put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Luiz Eduardo Cardozo. In the 77th minute, Geovani Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Arantes struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Luiz Eduardo Cardozo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pacova. Bernardo Valadares took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Eduardo Cardozo. Luiz Eduardo Cardozo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. In the 92nd minute, Miguel Arantes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pilares's zone, Miguel Arantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Eduardo Cardozo came out of the goal and Miguel Arantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 97 played minutes Pilares got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Velloso. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pacova had won after a very even match.
