The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to EC Sapupira getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Rogério Ortiz hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Vito Godoi could shoot a difficult shot in the 10th minute, which Luan Furtado however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doriva Furlan got free with Luan Furtado in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luan Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Gerber in the 14th minute of the match. Luan Furtado was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Doriva Furlan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Doriva Furlan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Luan Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Eger in the 18th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Rogério Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. EC Sapupira's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogério Ortiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamílton Catarinense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute, Doriva Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Vito Godoi took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Luan Furtado to make any attempt to save it. Rogério Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamílton Catarinense having to interfere. Isaltino Salgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Isaltino Salgado came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the EC Sapupira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaltino Salgado couldn't finish the play. Elói Veloso struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Hamílton Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EC Sapupira. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Beto Santos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Jaraguary AD's Laércio Eger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luan Furtado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The supporters of EC Sapupira booed when Jaraguary AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vito Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luan Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Eger in the 65th minute of the match. EC Sapupira's Luan Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Godoi in the 66th minute of play. Luan Furtado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The supporters of Jaraguary AD booed when EC Sapupira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaltino Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute Claudinho Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luan Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Laércio Eger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jaraguary AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. 80 minutes into the match, EC Sapupira's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Eger came free, but Luan Furtado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luan Furtado came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Jaraguary AD's Vito Godoi. But to his dismay, Vito Godoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. EC Sapupira's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Jaraguary AD had won, even though EC Sapupira had held more of the ball.
