Caiapo's Amílton Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Faria in the 26th minute of play. Caiapo's Bernardinho Soeiro suffered a concussion in the 30th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Nico Valladares fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seven Hell's protests and gave Nico Valladares a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Seven Hell getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Nico Valladares hit a great ball. Diguinho Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Silvinho Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Gustavo Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Túlio Bertassi made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Faria in the 52nd minute of play forced Caiapo's goalkeeper Amílton Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Joel Faria kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amílton Schmidt. That made the score 0-1 in the 52 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Túlio Bertassi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caiapo's supporters rose to their feet, but Túlio Bertassi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvinho Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the match, Caiapo's Túlio Bertassi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvinho Proença narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bernardo Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Amílton Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Faria in the 68th minute of the match. Luiz Gustavo Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. The supporters of Seven Hell booed when Caiapo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adilson Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toninho Fontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Amílton Schmidt made a huge save. In the 95th match minute, Caiapo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adilson Prata to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Caiapo lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
