Lucas Norberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silas Barral in the 15th minute of the match. If Rafinha Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Hot Rod Sports getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Júlio Pirani hit a great ball. Mário Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Trigo having to interfere. If Rafinha Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd match minute, Hot Rod Sports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Pirani to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mário Carvalho made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silas Barral in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucas Norberg saved Hot Rod Sports from getting behind. The supporters of Maktub booed when Hot Rod Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinho Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafinha Teles, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. A collision led to Maktub getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Silas Barral hit a great ball. If Silas Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frédson Lopez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Lucas Norberg made a huge save. After having played for 83 minutes, Frédson Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maktub's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frédson Lopez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Hot Rod Sports's Mário Carvalho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudinho Trigo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Maktub players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hot Rod Sports.
