A collision led to Mustangs United Football getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Virgílio da Silveira hit a great ball. Renan Tasso had several of the Mustangs United Football's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 24 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Cássio Azevedo as he didn't even see the shot coming. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renan Tasso in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cássio Azevedo saved Mustangs United Football from getting behind. Renan Tasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Mustangs United Football's goalkeeper Cássio Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renan Tasso. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Renan Tasso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Renan Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio Azevedo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Renan Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot. CORNOS FUTEBOL CLUBE's supporters rose to their feet, but Renan Tasso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cássio Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 63rd minute, Vágner Sá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renan Tasso scored 3-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cássio Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Artur Zonta hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 81st match minute, CORNOS FUTEBOL CLUBE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Capixaba to maneuver through the defense. Cássio Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Renan Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio Azevedo having to interfere. Waldir de Queirós took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cássio Azevedo. Mustangs United Football's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Renan Tasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
