Spectators: 7168 (Terracing: 5378, Seating: 1648, VIP seats: 142) Urussui's Simão de Sena started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Simão de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Ismael Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marequeta SC's Ismael Velloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Marequeta SC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Marequeta SC's zone, Simão de Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Velloso came out of the goal and Simão de Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute, Simão de Sena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Tasso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ismael Loureiro went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Daniel Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Urussui's Daniel Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Mota in the 31st minute of play. Victor Moreno might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ismael Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Moreno ran back to his position shaking his head. Ismael Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão de Sena in the 34th minute of the match. Serginho Meirelles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Ismael Velloso made a huge save. If Simão de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão de Sena in the 45th minute of play. When Frank Severo fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Urussui's protests and gave Frank Severo a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Urussui fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty!

When Victor Moreno came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Urussui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Moreno couldn't finish the play. Simão de Sena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ismael Velloso having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Victor Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Urussui's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Moreno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismael Velloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Simão de Sena struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Ismael Velloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Urussui. A collision led to Urussui getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Serginho Meirelles hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Miguel Xavier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Miguel Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Tasso made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Miguel Xavier sent off a good shot on target. Ismael Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão de Sena in the 95th minute of the match. If Simão de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
