Adhemar Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Aloísio Arósio made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Doni Figueiredo sent off a good shot on target. Doni Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doni Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Víktor Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Aloísio Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Víktor Veiga in the 48th minute of play forced Paranavai's goalkeeper Aloísio Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Víktor Veiga in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aloísio Arósio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, S.E. Bento XVI's Adhemar Cearense got a free kick in the 53rd minute. A hard shot 54 in the game by Sebastião Vergílio from a close distance when the talented Durval Souto managed to make a qualified save. S.E. Bento XVI's players were relieved. 56 minutes into the game, Paranavai's Sebastião Vergílio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Durval Souto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Aloísio Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Víktor Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 68th minute Doni Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aloísio Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 minutes of play, S.E. Bento XVI's Víktor Veiga made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aloísio Arósio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sebastião Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Souto having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Víktor Veiga notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Paranavai's Aloísio Arósio. Aloísio Arósio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Víktor Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas Correia hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Víktor Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloísio Arósio having to interfere. After 86 played minutes S.E. Bento XVI got a freekick which was hit by Adhemar Cearense. S.E. Bento XVI walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
