Clemente Montenegro hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Edgar Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gildo Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dorian Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remo Freitas in the 16th minute of play. Kléber Souto hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Remo Freitas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dorian Lara was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 20th minute, Giovani Lopez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Roma esporte cluble fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Roma esporte cluble's Remo Freitas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remo Freitas in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dorian Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Giovani Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorian Lara having to interfere. Remo Freitas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dorian Lara having to make a save. Giovani Lopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dorian Lara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remo Freitas's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. The Avante FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Roma esporte cluble were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remo Freitas was the one to do the kick off. Roma esporte cluble's Edgar Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gildo Cruz in the 54th minute of play. Dorian Lara made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Remo Freitas sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Roma esporte cluble's Clemente Montenegro got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 69th minute, Giovani Lopez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Roma esporte cluble fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Marcinho Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorian Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remo Freitas in the 75th minute of the match. Kléber Souto's late challenge caught a Roma esporte cluble's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kléber Souto helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Avante FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Kléber Souto hit a great ball. After 78 minutes of play Avante FC's Kléber Souto was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Roma esporte cluble booed when Avante FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléber Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giovani Lopez struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Dorian Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Roma esporte cluble. Remo Freitas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Dorian Lara when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lenílson Terra struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Dorian Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Roma esporte cluble. If Remo Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remo Freitas in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dorian Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Giovani Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remo Freitas in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dorian Lara saved Avante FC from getting behind.
