After 25 minutes, Flavinho Marques mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Porto F.C. and the PINGUINS ABANDONANDO JOGO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alexsandro Ramalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Vicente Veiga made a huge save. PINGUINS ABANDONANDO JOGO's Oscar Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerson Souto in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramón Prata stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Carlos Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. 1-3 became the score in the 91st minute when Gerson Souto elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in PINGUINS ABANDONANDO JOGO's zone, Régis Madureira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Santos came out of the goal and Régis Madureira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
