Palestra de Tomini's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F. C. Amargoso the free kick. After 16 played minutes Palestra de Tomini got a freekick which was hit by Antônio das Neves. Ricardo Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Jaime Vinhas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilian Marquez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jaime Vinhas. Palestra de Tomini's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of F. C. Amargoso booed when Palestra de Tomini was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Nicolas Lucas came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the F. C. Amargoso fans jumped to their feet. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Guto Secco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palestra de Tomini's supporters rose to their feet, but Guto Secco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernandinho Mello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of F. C. Amargoso booed when Palestra de Tomini was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dito Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Palestra de Tomini's Jaime Vinhas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Palestra de Tomini from getting a goal against them. F. C. Amargoso's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nicolas Lucas in the 89th minute. Ricardo Nogueira was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. F. C. Amargoso's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
