Spectators: 7234 (Terracing: 5427, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Silvério Dionísio made the kick off which started today's match. Jonas Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Euniverso's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Dionísio came free, but Antônio Carlos Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Poaca getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Marcelinho Monteiro hit a great ball. When Euniverso's Jonas Macedo in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Poaca's goalie prevented a goal. Antônio Carlos Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvério Dionísio in the 19th minute of play. Jonas Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Hadi Ercan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Poaca getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Leonel Sá hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Poaca's zone, Erasmo Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hadi Ercan came out of the goal and Erasmo Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Carlos Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos Pena having to interfere. In the 41st minute Silvério Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Pena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

54 minutes into the game, Mané Pinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poaca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Euniverso the free kick. If Silvério Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antônio Carlos Pena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvério Dionísio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Carlos Pombal struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Antônio Carlos Pena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poaca. Euniverso's Antônio Carlos Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvério Dionísio in the 68th minute of play. Silvério Dionísio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos Pena having to interfere. João Carlos Pombal might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antônio Carlos Pena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Carlos Pombal ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Erasmo Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Euniverso's supporters rose to their feet, but Erasmo Sena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hadi Ercan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antônio Carlos Pena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Carlos Pombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Poaca fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Poaca's Silvério Dionísio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 93 minutes into the match, Jonas Macedo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Poaca's Hadi Ercan. Hadi Ercan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 98th minute Cristiano Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hadi Ercan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Euniverso players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
