In the 10th minute Unimatriz - Bye Bye MZ were awarded a corner. Pedro Luís Cabral went to the cornerflag to take it. VIEZZER F. C.'s Rony Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diego Paes kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Marquinhos da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. Mateus Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos da Silveira in the 45th minute of play. Rony Couto took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mateus Cunha. Mateus Cunha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Augusto Medeiros made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Augusto Medeiros in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Décio Quadros saved VIEZZER F. C. from getting behind. Marquinhos da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus Cunha having to interfere. The goalkeeper, Mateus Cunha, was totally fooled by VIEZZER F. C.'s Kléberson Martins, who 63 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a rather tough play, VIEZZER F. C.'s Christiano Arantes got a free kick in the 68th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Unimatriz - Bye Bye MZ's goalkeeper Mateus Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rony Couto. After 81 played minutes, Unimatriz - Bye Bye MZ's Pedro Luís Cabral shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Décio Quadros came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Unimatriz - Bye Bye MZ reached it. After having played for 97 minutes, Dráuzio Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unimatriz - Bye Bye MZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dráuzio Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. C. booed when Unimatriz - Bye Bye MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 101 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tião Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. VIEZZER F. C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
