Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Pedro Augusto Machado made the kick off which started today's match. Pedro Augusto Machado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Emerson do Nascimento made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Augusto Machado got free with Emerson do Nascimento in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 13 minutes into the match, Gernando Marinho notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Cordilheiras's David Ceresso. David Ceresso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Augusto Machado got free with Emerson do Nascimento in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Cordilheiras's zone, Gernando Marinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Ceresso came out of the goal and Gernando Marinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gernando Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Ceresso having to interfere. David Ceresso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson da Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Pedro Augusto Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oswaldo Valle was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 31st minute. Cordilheiras's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Pedro Augusto Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cordilheiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Augusto Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson do Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeferson da Rocha's late challenge caught a Cordilheiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeferson da Rocha helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th minute, Jeferson da Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Augusto Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Pedro Augusto Machado got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Estrellas booed when Cordilheiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelson Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gernando Marinho was the one to do the kick off. Estrellas's Emerson do Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelson Marquez in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Dudu Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Cordilheiras's David Ceresso got control of the ball when Leonardo Lopez tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 60th play minutes Pedro Augusto Machado shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Emerson do Nascimento and just under the crossbar into goal. The Cordilheiras fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Cordilheiras's Oswaldo Valle looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Emerson do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Oswaldo Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pedro Augusto Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Ceresso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gernando Marinho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 83 minute of play. In the 87th minute Pedro Augusto Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emerson do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Augusto Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson do Nascimento having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Oswaldo Valle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emerson do Nascimento. Estrellas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oswaldo Valle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cordilheiras fully deserved thier win.
