But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guga Nóbrega couldn't finish the play. Giovanni de Queiroz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Otávio Félix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Limitless FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guga Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. David Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Tinoco in the 34th minute of play forced Charitas EC's goalkeeper Diego Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Guga Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Xavier hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. When Charitas EC's Ricardinho Borges in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Limitless FC's goalie prevented a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ricardinho Borges made a kick off. Limitless FC's Otávio Félix proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Limitless FC from getting a goal against them. In the 52nd minute, Guga Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 55 minutes Limitless FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was José Ceresso who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Limitless FC's goalie and right to Murilo Mendes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Limitless FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Otávio Félix stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardinho Borges's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Ricardinho Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otávio Félix having to interfere. If Giovanni de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otávio Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Borges in the 67th minute of the match. Charitas EC's Giovanni de Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Limitless FC's goalkeeper Otávio Félix had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giovanni de Queiroz. Otávio Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardinho Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Charitas EC's Ricardinho Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Giovanni de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Luís Fabiano Rosado fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Limitless FC's protests and gave Luís Fabiano Rosado a yellow card for diving instead.
